The Earth Day Countdown Continues…

April 10th, 2009

We’re less than two weeks away from Earth Day and our to-do list doesn’t seem to be shrinking. Hmm… Production is officially on, the new bags are turning out even better than we hoped. We’ve pulled together some really cool ways to add even more eco-friendly elements to the bags. The men’s bags will be lined with sails reclaimed from boats in San Diego. And we’re collecting hardware scraps from the Fountain Bleu Casino in Las Vegas (currently under construction) to incoprporate into the bags. These scraps and sails would have otherwise ended up in a landfill, but instead they are turned into beautiful elements in our handbag line. Read the rest of this entry »

Props to Prophetik!

April 2nd, 2009

Prophetik, based in Nashville (of all places) is gaining headlines worldwide due to its commitment to fashioning garments out of eco-friendly materials like raw cotton and silk, and employing paint-splatter patterns made by woe-be-gone Thai elephants who are gradually being eliminated because machines now do their heavy lifting. Blogonia

March 28th, 2009

Everything is starting to come together…Today was a really exciting day! NAMTRA Media sent over the design of the new Bagonia website. And, we have to say it is pretty freaking FAB-U-LOUS! They even came up with a cute name for our blog hence the title “Blogonia.” To get ready for the launch of our website we are planning our official Bagonia and Birch photoshoot. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for April 10, so we have two weeks to scout locations, models, wardrobe, etc. At least we get to focus on the fun Read the rest of this entry »

Her Niche is “The Bomb” Literally

March 20th, 2009

Friday night we went to the IVY for ECO Love and the launch of The N3TWORK. The event was supposed to be an eco-friendly networking event/ party for San Diego’s fabulous eco scene. When we got there we enjoyed some acai vodka martini’s and mojito’s and came to realize that the cocktails were the only “eco” aspect of the event. This was minorly annoying…so many people throw one small “green friendly” thing into their event or product and Read the rest of this entry »

Whoa Nelly

March 13th, 2009

Where do we even begin?  As we said before when we have the most to say we don’t have the time to say it.  Our biggest news is that we’ve secured a promotion with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for Earth Day! Woot Woot!  The Tonight Show will be gifting Bagonia and Birch (the men’s version of Bagonia) to show guests and friends of the show.  We’re really excited and can’t wait for them to see how easy Read the rest of this entry »

Power of the Blog

March 4th, 2009

So Nichole has a tendency to lose things…keys, mail tracking sheets, um her Bagonia Bowling Bag. Well, she didn’t really lose it as much as left it at Rebecca’s coffee shop. Funny thing, the woman who owns the coffee shop looked at Nichole’s ID, Googled her and found our blog to let her know that she had it. If that wasn’t cool enough she actually remembers seeing Read the rest of this entry »
